Gaines Creek Coffee Shop - Friday, May 10

    7:15 - 10 am
Gaines Creek Campus, 5677 Oak Blvd.

The Gaines Creek community is excited to invite you to our last Coffee Shop of the school year on Friday, May 10. The Coffee Shop will be open from 7:15 - 10 am, and inside and outside table options will be available.

We will again serve our fresh coffee, a variety of tacos (including a vegan option), the Kale Quinoa Bowl with a Gaines Creek egg, and Crepes with cinnamon sugar and a side of lemon.

We are generally busier in the first half of the morning with the Gaines Creek parents and students, so it would be lovely to see you in the second half, but of course, you are welcome any time before 10 am.

We look forward to serving you.
  • Sunset Trail Book Swap - Monday, May 13

Are you looking to refresh your child’s bookshelf before the summer break? Join me on Monday, May 13, to swap old favorites and find new ones.

All books dropped off for the book swap should be appropriate for our school culture and requirements. For example, books for the Children's House should be reality-based and free of anthropomorphized animals. Chapter books for the elementary should be age-appropriate. All books should be in good condition, free of tears or stains. Non-fiction is welcome too!

    How it will work:
    1. Drop off any unwanted books on Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10. Boxes will be available on the front porch of the main office to collect the books.
    2. On Monday, May 13, from 8:30 - 9 am (after you drop off your child(ren)), stop by the picnic tables outside of Clubhouse to select “new” books. Books will be sorted by level - Children's House and Elementary.
    3. Any remaining books will be donated to Goodwill or a similar organization.
