Introduction to the Children's House

What is a Montessori Children's House? It is a prepared environment that is designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by the child aged two and a half through six years of age. Essentially, it is a calm, orderly space designed to meet the needs of the child. Here, children experience a blend of freedom and responsibility in an environment designed for their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Children's House is divided into four distinct areas: practical life, sensorial, mathematics, and language. Although these areas represent the parts of the curriculum, the Children's House curriculum is interdisciplinary and interactive. Join us at our Great Northern campus at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024. This is an in-person event, located at 6817 Great Northern Blvd, Austin, TX 78757.
